The Floor Hatch Safety Railing is designed for safe egress and ingress through access hatches and for protection of the opening while the access door is up. It meets OSHA Standards 29 CFR 1910.23 and 29 CFR 1910.66. The railing system uses the industry leading Kee Klamp® fittings for easy assembly.

The Floor Hatch Railing kits are made with galvanized 1-1/4" pipes and aluminum 1-1/2" pipes for all hatch sizes. To install the system you need to drill 2 holes for each base fitting (Type 62) and use lag bolts size 3/8-2-1/2 and lag shields to fix bases in place. To install the railing all you need is a hex key. If the system is required to be removable, use ground socket fittings (Type 66) that are installed flush with the surface. Fitting 66 can also be installed into wet concrete.

A 2-sided kit can be ordered if the floor hatch backs to the wall. An easy solution is also available to accommodate a toeboard into the Floor Hatch Railing.
