The KeeHatch® safety railing is designed for safe egress and ingress through roof type access hatches and for protection of the roof opening while the roof hatch is open. It meets OSHA Standard 29 CFR 1910.23 and 29 CFR 1910.27.

In most situations, 29 CFR 1910.23 requires that the exposed sides of openings in floors or roofs have some form of guardrail protection.  When the hinged cover for an opening is left up, there are sides exposed which must be appropriately protected. Employers are required to provide a workplace free from recognized hazards.
Many standards require that there be guardrail protection for exposed openings. The KeeHatch safety system protects workers from falls resulting in serious injury.

KeeHatch is comprised of Kee Klamp® fittings which are supplied in a hot dipped galvanized finish. Systems must be installed by an Approved Installer.
